Zeal Ministry School is a 6-month discipleship training school equipping young adults for lifelong faith through prayer, worship and mission.
HOW DOES THE ZMS WORK?
Zeal Ministry School (ZMS) is a 6-month discipleship training school for young adults to deeply encounter Jesus and be equipped for lifelong faith through prayer, worship & mission. ZMS is part of the ministry of Gen Zeal which exists to contend for revival in the next generation.
Students will spend the first 4 months receiving biblical teaching, participating in deep worship, and being activated in prayer & missions. You’ll also be given practical applications in different areas of ministry in order to become a wholehearted and well-rounded disciple of Jesus. The remaining 2 months of the school will be on-the-road engaging in local, national and international missions to reach the next generation with the Gospel.
At ZMS you will:
Encounter Jesus in worship & prayer.
Be equipped with biblical teaching.
Engage the next generation with the gospel.

Through a series of exciting prophetic words, the Lord has provided us with an incredible ministry base here in Manchester, UK, just a few minutes away from Manchester International Airport. Manchester is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, and one of the most exciting and innovative places to be living in right now. From sports to shopping, social life and experiences, Manchester really has it all.
More importantly God is really moving here across the churches in great unity and incredible power. We’re also seeing a significant hunger for prayer and authentic encounters in the Presence of God across the city. We believe ZMS will be a launchpad for you into all God is doing around the world and wherever He takes you next.
-
During your time at the school you will stay with a host family from the church you’ll be serving at. These are approved, safe and comfortable homes where you will have your own private space to rest. You’ll meet your host over Zoom ahead of moving in and we will support you in the whole process. We will also follow all the appropriate safeguarding checks to ensure your accommodation meets Gen Zeal’s health & safety standards as well as our safeguarding partner Thirty One:Eight’s Safeguarding requirements.
If for any reason the accommodation no longer meets our healthy & safety and safeguarding standards we will seek immediate relocation to ensure students absolute safety.
Within reasonable and legitimate reason, if you’re unhappy with your accommodation or you’d like to stay somewhere else you can explore this with your course leaders and we will do our best to organise a suitable way forward.
*If you’re already from Manchester you’re of course welcome to stay at your own home and serve with your home church.

ZMS runs from Monday 6th September 2027 to Friday 25th February 2028.
Please note, Friday 25th February 2028 we will hold a special commissioning service at our base and we encourage any friends or family to attend as we pray for you, celebrate your time with us, and commission you out to all God has for you.
*You will have 2 and a half weeks off for Christmas holidays from Friday 17th December 2027 - Tuesday 4th January 2028. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to stay in your accommodation in Manchester during these dates and our offices will be closed. If you are an international student, and are unable to go home during the Christmas break, we may be able to make an exception for you, however you must tell us during the application process.
-
Yes, we do accept international students. However, you must confirm your place by paying your deposit before the international closing application date of 3rd May 2027 so we can process your application and do the necessary work to sponsor your visa. Please be aware that you must pay your own visa expenses. Applications will be subject to visa clearance and background checks, including UK Safeguarding checks.
*Please be advised the UK application closing date is later due to UK students not needing visa clearance.
